The Jedburgh Press has been established
since 1983 and in its current premises since 1988. In November 2007 we moved up to Roxburghshire in the Scottish Borders
(from North Yorkshire where Robert was born, Kathryn was born up the road in Perth) to buy the business.
Since then, we have been steadily investing in new machinery and design programmes so that The Jedburgh Press can continue
to produce the best possible quality design and digital & lithographic printing for you. Initially we upgraded the
outdated design programmes, bought finishing equipment (to minimise out-sourcing work and keep costs as low as possible),
upgraged the photocopier and bought a digital print machine and a wide format printer (from which we print
the canvases, banners, posters and Point Of Sale advertising materials).
Our latest purchase has been the Heidelberg full colour press. This represents a huge investment in the business and
is a physically huge piece of kit! It is enabling us to run a full colour job in a single pass (as opposed to the four passes
it used to take) meaning we can increase productivity and dramatically reduce the amount of time and work involved in printing
each job. This, in turn, means we can price jobs much more competitively than we have been able to in the past - so even if
you have had a quote before we can beat it now so ask us again!!
Kathryn
(who deals with customers and design work) has won awards for customer service and will work with you to ensure the design
of your job is the best we can produce.
Robert (who will print
your job) has been in printing all his life. He served a 4 year apprenticeship, earned his City & Guilds Lithographic
printing qualification and now has over 15 years experience!
We like to work with and support local businsses (suppliers and couriers) and local
artists and we have a selection of local artists work in our shop for sale.
